The South Dakota team dominated the two-state competition to win the 21st running of the South Dakota Association of Health Organizations Walleye Classic June 21st in Gettysburg, beating a strong team of six boats from Nebraska. A total of 59 fisherpersons from South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, and North Dakota participated in the event. Taking the individual competition, Kevin Forsch of Pierre with his brother Tim Forsch and Uncle Gary Forsch who took first place with a 7 fish limit and total weight of 21.8 pounds. Tim also captured the largest walleye at 6.4 pounds.

Doug Sieck, Howard Paul and Jeff Decker, presentation of a check for $900.00 to the Missouri River Sedimentation Coalition for it efforts in controlling sedimentation in the Missouri River. Howard Paul has spoke at both the Sioux Empire Chapter and the Rapid City Chapter. He spends many hours working on behalf of all of us that enjoy the Missouri River. Award recipient.
